Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how OnlyCoding handles personal data when you visit this website or use the contact form.
Who is responsible
OnlyCoding is the portfolio and freelance website of Sven Peeters. You can contact me at sven.peeters@onlycoding.io for privacy questions or requests.
Personal data processed
- Contact form data: name, email address and message.
- Technical and security data: IP address or proxy headers, timestamps and form-submission signals used to prevent spam or abuse.
- Language preference: the selected language is stored in your browser so the website can keep showing the right language.
- reCAPTCHA data: when reCAPTCHA is enabled, Google may process technical data to verify that the form is not abused.
Why the data is used
- To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
- To protect the contact form and website from automated or abusive submissions.
- To remember your language preference across pages and visits.
- To maintain and troubleshoot the website.
Legal basis
Contact and security processing is based on legitimate interest: being able to answer messages and protect the website. If optional analytics or marketing tools are added later, they will only be used where the required consent or legal basis is in place.
Third parties
- Hosting provider: used to serve the website and process technical traffic data.
- Email provider: used to receive and reply to contact messages.
- Google reCAPTCHA: used only when enabled for spam and abuse prevention.
Retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation or related freelance request. Technical abuse-prevention data is kept for a limited time unless it is needed to investigate ongoing misuse.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. You can also object to processing where the law allows it. Send requests to sven.peeters@onlycoding.io.
Complaints
If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can contact me first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
This page is written for transparency. It is not legal advice and may be updated when the website changes.
